Let's Ask the "Kernel"

Is there a maximum number of corn on the cobs that one person should eat in any given four day span? No really, is there? I heard that corn is bad for digestion.

I have consumed corn on the cob in mass quantities over the past few days/weeks. Am I going to explode?

Let's investigate and discuss.

A fine question my friend...

As someone has so kindly pointed out...I did refer to the dreaded box store.."Home Depot" in a previous post. And I was asked if I gave in to the convenience of the Superstore. The answer is:

NO

It has been anything but convenient. In fact, as we speak I am ready to scream because this is the second day in a row they have failed to deliver my goods. I actually went to several of my beloved mom and pop stores for my concrete. Unfortunately, none of them had enough stock for my order and not a single one would let me buy what they had because it would clean them out and they don't get deliveries of cement often enough. Furthermore...non of them delivered and I...little LAP...could not carry load, unload, and move 150 bags of cement and mortar myself.

Ordering online was not an option. I was left with no choice but Lowes or Home Depot if I wanted this project done within the next year. And, just as I had thought, I am paying the price for caving in. Frustration overload!!!!

No..I have Not Given Birth..Neither Has My Sister!

For all those wondering...the baby in my new "Blog" picture is JJ. He is my cousin Debbie's baby and is no longer that tiny. But upon my request she sent this picture to me for the blog. And I do love it! Although it may seem silly to have him in there...could you crop this cutie? I didn't think so!

BTW

Anyone got any good pictures of me? I want to change my photo and I can't find a single stinking good picture for this thing. Anything people...I'll take anything. I don't even care if there are 10 other people in it. I know the art of the "crop"

Calling all Squash Lovers

So, who out there likes summer squash? Apparently weeds are not the only things that grow in abundance in my garden. I am going to have about 15,000 summer squash at the rate these things are going. So, if you like squash...let me know. You may just find a basket of them on your front porch.

Same goes for Zucchini. Looks like they may get out of control too. Next year, I think one plant a piece is they way to go.

Weed -Be-Gone

Holy Crapolla! Miracle grow is out of control. Yes, I like the fact that it has made my squash plant 4 feet tall. Yes I like the fact that I have more snow peas than I know what to do with. Yes I really enjoy the head of lettuce that is now the size of a 10 lb bowling ball (I checked). NO..I do NOT enjoy the crazy insane out of control ridiculous totally outrageous and just plan nutty amount of weeds and crab grass that grow in between my amazingly fantastic garden vegetables.

It took me two and a half hours tonight to weed the stinkin' garden and when all was said and done....the weeds filled an entire garbage bin. Yes, an entire bin. I repeat. Holy Crapolla!

I think I better lay off the miracle grow for a while. Geez

Out Out Damn Crab Grass...

And the Award goes to.....

Okay, I have recently won the Academy Award for least consistent blog posting ever.

I graciously take the stage, my sexy, flowing, black vinatage valentina creation perfectly fitted to me, I tilt the microphone WAY down....

"I am honored that I have received the award and would like to thank God, for making this possbile, my parents for keeping me busy in my yard for weeks, the poison oak bushes in the back yard who derailed me to the point of no return, the beach house... for distracting me with cousins and babies for days, and most of all, the laziness inside me that has been bottled up for so long, without which, none of this would have been possible. "

(la la la la al insert musical snippet indicating that it is time for me to get on with it) What a great segway.
